Information You Submit
Search-form entries, such as a name, phone number, or address, are sent to the third-party provider that supplies those results; the directory’s own servers do not retain a search history. A message sent to us contains the information you choose to include and is used to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Hosting services keep routine server-log details, including an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and times. Aggregate review helps maintain the directory and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when applicable, advertising measurement.
What We Do With This Data
That information supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a website keeps. Because the directory retains very little, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Public records held by Ohio state, county, or city offices are outside our control; requests about those records belong with the custodian. Ohio Public Records Act, ORC §149.43, governs access to public-office records and its exemptions, rather than a website deletion request.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
